PRIVACY & PERSONAL INFORMATION

Privacy notice.

A straightforward explanation of what happens to personal information when you get in touch with Indigo Fox.

Last updated: 14 October 2026

Who is responsible for your information?

Indigo Fox is an independent consultancy run by Sarah Pugh, based in Cornwall, United Kingdom. For questions about personal information, email hello@indigo-fox.com.

What information do I receive?

If you email Indigo Fox, I receive the name, email address, business information and any other details you choose to share. If we work together, further information may be handled as needed to provide the agreed services. The website currently uses an email link rather than a contact form.

How is it used?

I use your details to reply to your enquiry, discuss a possible project, prepare proposals and, if we agree to work together, manage our working relationship. I do not use an enquiry as permission to subscribe you to a marketing mailing list.

For enquiries and ordinary business correspondence, the lawful basis is my legitimate interest in responding to people who contact the consultancy and managing professional relationships. Where you ask me to take steps towards a contract, or we enter into a contract, processing may also be necessary for those purposes. Legal record-keeping requirements may apply to some information.

Who else may see the information?

My email and website-hosting providers process relevant information to deliver their services. Where appropriate, trusted professional specialists may be involved in a project, but client information is not shared with them without a proper business reason and appropriate safeguards. Information is not sold to advertisers.

Some service providers may process information outside the UK; applicable contractual and legal safeguards should be used where required. Please contact me if you would like more information about the providers relevant to your correspondence.

How long is information kept?

Enquiry emails are kept only for as long as needed to respond, follow up on genuine business discussions and maintain appropriate records. Where a project goes ahead, relevant records are retained for the duration of our relationship and any applicable contractual, accounting or legal periods. Records are reviewed and removed securely when no longer needed.

Website data and cookies

The pages themselves do not include third-party advertising or analytics scripts. The hosting provider may process technical information such as IP addresses, security logs or essential cookies to deliver and protect the website. If optional analytics or tracking tools are added later, this notice and any necessary cookie choices will be updated.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can request access to your personal information, ask for inaccurate details to be corrected, ask for deletion or restriction, object to processing based on legitimate interests, or request portability where applicable. In particular, you have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Email hello@indigo-fox.com to make a request.

You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you have concerns about how your data is handled.
