A BIT ABOUT ME

Creative thinking.
Grounded support.

For nearly 20 years, I've worked with organisations of all sizes — from major corporates to start-ups and community interest companies (CICs), including award-winning businesses. I've managed businesses and operations, delivered large-scale immersive events, and worked with design start-ups and fast-moving consumer goods businesses with complex supply chains. I know what it means to be responsible for budgets, people, partnerships and the decisions behind a good idea. That gives me a feel for how different the pressures can be for a business owner, CEO or community organisation.

I hold a BSc (Hons) in Psychology and a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Psychology. I work from a humanistic, people-centred perspective: I listen carefully, ask questions that get to the heart of a challenge and believe in honest, sometimes frank conversations. You can expect empathy and constructive challenge in equal measure — not jargon or a ready-made answer.

Through Indigo Fox, I work directly with owners, founders, CEOs and boards when something needs a closer look. We might review the whole business before a leadership change, explore funding or an idea for a new product, rethink how a brand tells its story, or help teams collaborate and keep employees involved as things change. That includes making sensible use of new systems and AI, without becoming dependent on them.

I've successfully secured funding through Arts Council England, Innovate UK, Create Growth, Grow Smarter, the National Lottery and other programmes. I've also worked with SETsquared programmes on funding applications and reporting.

I've built partnerships across the public, private and education sectors, including with local councils, the West of England Combined Authority (WECA), Great Western Railway (GWR), universities and other educational organisations. That has included helping create internships and work placements, as well as work on meanwhile-space projects where you need the right partners around the table to make things happen.

I look at how the different parts of a business fit together, and I can bring in trusted specialists when that would help. I particularly enjoy working with passionate people and businesses making a positive, meaningful difference to people's lives, their communities or the wider world. I'm based in Penryn, Cornwall, and work locally and across the UK, bringing experience across creative businesses, events, commercial organisations and purpose-led teams. Whether it's a one-off project or monthly support, we'll agree what the work needs to cover before we begin.

There’s no pressure to have it all worked out beforehand. Get in touch for an informal chat, and we’ll take it from there.
