FUNDING & RESILIENCE

Funding that supports the bigger picture.

Funding is most useful when it supports a clear ambition and a sustainable organisation. I help businesses and purpose-led teams explore appropriate opportunities, strengthen applications and think critically about the financial and operational foundations needed to make the work last.

Let's talk about your business →

Start with the purpose, not the application

Before writing a funding bid, it is worth asking what the business needs, why a project matters and whether a proposed programme fits the organisation’s direction. I can help develop the narrative, plan the work and make a more coherent case for support.

Funding and grant development

I've successfully secured funding through Arts Council England, Innovate UK, Create Growth, Grow Smarter and other programmes. My experience covers funding strategy, bid writing, application development, monitoring and reporting. We can explore options that fit your project, while being realistic about eligibility, timescales and competition.

Financial resilience alongside growth

Funding alone cannot solve every business challenge. I can also help review operating models, costs, commercial assumptions, planning and the practical steps that make an organisation more resilient. Sometimes the right next move is to simplify, refocus or improve how the business works.

What we could work on

Funding readiness and strategy; shaping projects for applications; grant narratives and supporting information; business and operational planning; financial-resilience discussions; monitoring, reporting and sustainable next steps. I also bring experience of working with local councils and meanwhile-use spaces, where partnerships and the practical details matter as much as the original idea.

A couple of useful questions

Can you guarantee a grant application will succeed?

No. Funding decisions depend on the funder, eligibility, evidence, competition and timing. My role is to help develop a clearer, better-prepared proposition.

Do you only work with arts organisations?

No. My background includes creative and purpose-led organisations, but I support different business models and sectors across the UK.

What could we explore together?

Every organisation is different. Let’s have an honest conversation about where you are and what might make the most useful difference.
